Cool People, Dope Books, Great Coffee: A New Bookstore in Philadelphia
There’s a new bookstore in Philadelphia!
It’s called Uncle Bobbie’s Coffee and Books and it’s run by Marc Lamont Hill, author of Nobody: Casualties of America’s War on the Vulnerable, from Ferguson to Flint and Beyond. You may recognize him from his work as a commentator on CNN; he’s also a professor at Temple University.
Uncle Bobbie’s Coffee and Books is in the Germantown section of Philly.
Just look at those beautifully curated bookshelves!
They’ve already had their first book event: Erica Dunbar Armstrong discussing her book Never Caught: The Washingtons’ Relentless Pursuit of Their Runaway Slave Ona Judge.
Aaand they’ve instituted “Friday Night Films at Uncle Bobbie’s.”
So great! Check them out on Facebook (Uncle Bobbie’s Coffee and Books) and Instagram (@unclebobbies), and welcome this new bookstore to Philadelphia!
