7 Instagram Accounts Proving Books + Fashion = Awesome
There are very few people who would insist that I know anything about fashion. Okay, let’s be real, two of those are my friends and the other one probably just thinks I do queer-Old-Navy and ratty-ass-flannel well. But it’s pretty easy, even for my unfashionable eyes, to recognize that when books and fashion meet, great things can happen. Even though I don’t really understand clothes, I deeply appreciate it when people beautify the world with them. I love seeing it around me, and I recognize that books are a kind of fashion too. After all, how many of you judge books by their covers? Exactly. And forget books, how many of you judge people by their books? Most of us? Okay, cool, that’s what I thought.
When someone here at Book Riot turned me on to the reality of books and fashion going together, I was a bit skeptical. But I decided, you know what? Maybe it’s time to get out of my comfort zone. Plus, I’ve just finished editing a book that’s all about fashion, so why not give it a go? Let’s give it a go together, and look at these incredible Instagram posts and account:
Kat The Librarian
missinformation has been around for a bit – at least, long enough to document having a baby! She describes herself as a children’s librarian “who’s really good at dressing herself” and boy howdy, is she:

Bookworm’s Closet
bookwormscloset documents more than just what’s in her own closet. A blogger, knitter, shoe lover, and cat lady living in Denmark, this Instagrammer is super good at pairing shoes with books. Check it out:
Word Girl
Sophie Riggsby is a book reviewer, baker, and self proclaimed “Carpool Maker.” Recently, she’s been sharing her banned book reads, but she’s also really good at pairing books with her dresses:
Just Your Reads
There’s a variety of posts in just.my.read‘s feed, but we really love this series she did where she paired clothes with books:
Wanderer
Kimberlee is a wanderer and bookshop lover, and also pretty freaking awesome at combining fashionable beauty with bookish wonder:
Designer Libraries
Foxtail Books are literally custom library designers, which, I mean, can you say #want? Anyway, they feature some amazing places where books and fashion come together. Just look at this Hermes campaign shot in a museum in Amsterdam:
Better than Narnia
Better Than Narnia Kat of notthepathtonarnia is a fashion and book blogger, and she pairs books with incredible items of clothing. The effect is mind-blowingly gorgeous:
