Check Out the 2018 Locus Award Winners!
This past weekend, the Locus Science Fiction Foundation announced the 2018 Locus Award Winners at a ceremony in Seattle, WA. The Locus Awards are sort of like the People’s Choice Awards for science fiction and fantasy. Every year, they post a nomination form on their website that ANYONE can fill out — no membership required, unlike the Hugos and Nebulas. I’ve participated for the last few years, and am glad to see three of my picks win this year (Fantasy, Horror, and First Novel). And I have several of the winners already queued to read. It’s also a diverse list of winners, which has been a wonderful trend lately in SFF awards.
Congratulations to all the winners and nominees! 2017 was a great year for SFF (as is 2018). Below, I’ve listed the winners in each category.
